I have spoken to somebody from MBD in July/August 2013 who confirmed a settlement amount of R822 for a cellc account that I did not know still existed. I paid this settlement amount on 05/08/2013 & sent the proof of payment. The lady whom I spoke to, ensured that once I paid this amount, the account will be closed and that they will no longer contact me. When I called the number that I was given, the number stayed engaged. At the beginning of this year I received a letter from MBD again, advising that payment has not been received. I called in and they could not confirm my previous conversation with one of their contact agents in july? The agent then told me that the settlement amount is now R1500.
I asked to speak to a supervisor - Ntombi, who said I should email the proof of payment to Chantelle at Customer Care. When I spoke to Customer care they gave me another email address. I spoke to Tsoanelo &
Bando. They said I should send the proof of payment which I did.
After sending the proof of payment again, I just received another letter asking for payment? I think that its so very unfair that because of this company's incompetence, my name may suffer or even get black listed.
