I recently made a purchase of a 3G dongle here, upon receipt the device did not work, I contacted the seller and returned the device- the seller maintained that the device did work on their systems (I had recorded a screencast of the behavior of the device on my system (s), so this I still dispute). However the seller offered me the option of a refund, which I accepted.

As part of the process the seller must file an SNC for BidorBuy to refund commissions. The Help on the site indicates that the SNC is required for the commission refund, all well and good. As such I did not appeal the SNC.

Then l get an email containing the text "As a result you have been issued a Non-Fulfillment Warning. Please be aware that, as a consequence, your Bidorbuy account may be restricted or closed".

My assertion is, by not distinguishing between a refund process and an SNC this process is intended to be coercive and discourage the buyer from requesting a refund and is, as such an attempt to circumvent protections afforded the consumer under the Consumer Protection Act.

Caveat emptor, deal with this bunch at your own risk. I will be taking this matter up with the Regulator.
