I bought a PC on a live auction from a seller called Bargainfinder for R15600.00 . After paying and receiving the item i realised the specs are not as advertised. A very current spec computer was advertised and the item received was 6 years old and outdated. A reputable computer store checked it and confirmed specs not as indicated. The seller immediately accused me of changing or removing items. The serial number revealed that item was never as advertised and after returning the computer to seller for refund he had new excuses and to date he has the pc and my money.
My complaint is that in the whole process with dealing with bidorbuy it was impossible to speak to a senior person to resolve the issue. The first person tried his best but handed it to a following who pointed out the first one was a new trainee and not experienced. He did nothing and finally said I must resolve it myself. I have no details other than the bidorbuy username of the seller. I cannot make a case at the police without the real identity and details of the seller. Bidorbuy is providing a platform for buyers to be conned without any worthwhile protection or assistance to force a seller to trade hounestly.
