Bay Point Trading
Refusal to put in writing what is being offered

I was phoned by a woman, late afternoon 5 June 2013, offering me a unique web domain registration, which would drive business in my direction. I asked for greater details of the offer, most of which she answered but there were some which she seemed uncertain about. She then made it clear to me to the offer needed to be responded to immediately or I may lose the domain name. The amount being asked was not a small amount and I indicated that I wished to have time to work out the actual implications of what she was offering. She repeatedly said to me that there was no contractual agreements to be entered into. She phoned first thing this morning and when I said that I was interested, she requested my Credit card details - I refused to do that. She then said she would send me an Invoice which she subsequently did. I responded by asking by email to give what they were offering in writing. The woman then phoned me this afternoon, indicating that she could see no reason to put the offer in writing as she had explained it over the telephone. When I insisted that I wanted in it writing, she repeatedly said that they don't enter into contractual agreements. Enough said.
