I have been on this medical aid for the past 4 years and the beginning of this year I decided to change my plan to a plan that would cover my chronic medication as I have previously being paying cash for that. I was told that in order for the medical aid to pay for my chronic I should first apply for that, which I did and I was informed incorrectly that it was approved for 6 months and I need to reapply after 6 months, When I reapplied now I was told that it was declined as they do not cover AROPAX as a first option and therefore would need a motivation from the doctor as to why I have to take AROPAX. I was also informed that my medication has previously been paid from my savings, which I was not even aware of. This is the worst medical aid I have ever dealt with. I have been on chronic since 2004 and having to go through this with my condition is just uncalled for. All I can say is the sooner I change my medical aid the better. I have been without medication now for more than a week. Being sent from pillar to post. I don't want anybody to be calling me for any apologies. All I want is medication and excellent customer service. You even have call centre agents raising their voice.
