On 6th April 2013 I dropped of my spectacles at spec savers the glen. I wanted the same frame but with new lenses, They told me it will take 7-10 days. I requested them to immediately submit the claim from my medical aid as I dont have a spare spectacle and only have contacts (which I am new to and suffer from dry eyes etc). knowing that is my problem I was happy to know it would only take 10 days as I was told. However after 10 days no1 had contacted me so I called them (17April). They told me it will be ready by the weekend that has just passed but they will call me on friday (19 April) to confirm. No one called on Fri and on saturday (which is already 14days!!!) they told me they dont know what is happening and will contact the lab.
I dont ever receive calls from spec savers the glen concerning notifications of delays or even when my orders are ready! In Januray I had to wait 2 WEEKS for them to get TRIAL contacts and In February when I ordered my supply of contacts I waited 3weeksand both times I had to call them to find out what the delay is. I asked them why they dont call me, they said they only have 1 line of mine, however there is 3 contact numbers in my file.disgusted!!!
