I went to a specialist at the beginning of March. As is needed I called ahead to arrange authorisation for the appointment. I was told that I have R2000 available for specialists during the year. I sent through my invoice as was paid on the day of the specialist appointment. Firstly they paid only R425 of a R1100 account and said that they only received an invoice with R600 consultation on. It took them another couple of weeks to figure out that the invoice that I sent through was initially R1100, When I called now they said they have sorted this out, but they are still only paying R425.
Why am I upset:
- I was never told (none of the about 10 calls that I made to necesse) that they are only going to pay R425 of the account
- When I called this afternoon and asked to speak to a manager about this (Keagan) told me that it was going to be difficult to get hold of a manager at this time. If they client asks to speak to a manager, you give them a manager to speak to
- I pay R1000 per month for my medical aid, they can really do a bit more than pay less than half for a specialist appointment.
- Nobody had the decency to call me on this matter, and inform me
