Don't ever hold a conference at this hotel. The staff are surly, indifferent and sloppy in their treatment of you. I was promised in writing a room in the conference centre on the 5th floor (and paid for it), yet when I arrived for my conference they had moved us to the 'cheap seats" - a dreadful little room that was only accessible via a service lift and in a section of the hotel that is clearly rented out to businesses. The room was not set up properly, the floors were dirty, our name was spelt incorrectly and it was set up for 5 people short. That was just the start - I had to go ask for our tea and on the 2nd day when we had a VIP minister attending, they still had not set up the room by the time he arrived, despite me asking them 5 times over 40 minutes. The 'assortment of pastries' promised on the invoice was a pile of banana muffins with 2 chocolate muffins as alternatives. The list goes on - no toilet paper for over an hour, having to ask for things 3 or 4 times etc etc.
The general manager's response to my complaints was laughable. There is no acknowledgement of that they had messed up completely and that they were in breach of contract. Avoid at all costs!!
