Booked for Incorrect Treatment at Oyster Box Spa

My friend and I had a treatment on Saturday. We booked in person 2 weeks ago. I made 2 bookings for the "private steam session with self application of body exfoliation" so we were surprised at the massage we received after the hammam.
We never receive a confimation email prior to the treatment but I called on Friday to confirm the appointment time. All this time I had assumed my booking was correct. I only realised when I was paying that I was paying for the "Oyster Box Hammam Ceremony".
I tried to explain to the front desk that we made a booking for the private steam session with self application of exfoliation and not the Oyster Box Hamman ceremony. The front desk informed me that we had to pay for the Oyster Box Hammam Ceremony as that is the treatment we received.
Had we been emailed before we could have rectified the mistake before the treatment. I am baffled as to how 2 different treatments with different names could have been mistaken for each other?
I feel that I have been cheated out of my money and does not make a good impression on my friend and I.
I have a great first experience at the spa last year but this experience has put a damper on my mood
