I took my son Johan Grobler to our house doctor Phillipa Williams because i was concerned of a bump at his testis. Dr Phillipa Williams said Johan has a irreducible inguinal hernia and was urgently referred to Dr M Van Niekerk at Kloof Hospital as he as the only doctor available to assist straight away and Johan was operated on, on the same day by Dr M Van Niekerk, i have sent two appeals to bonitas for the R5000.00 Kloof Hospital wants me to pay as i used a non network hospital, this was not my fault! This morning Kloof Hospital now wants to put me on ITC because of the outstanding R5000.00. Michele Mosterd at Medscheme tried to help me but this is unfortunately not in her department. Then a Karen Sobotker phoned me and said they are working on my case, but how long do they want to work on this case??? Till my name is on ITC??? Til i have moved to another medical aid??? What should i do to get my voice heard and to get some help. I would understand this R5000.00 penalty if it wasn't an emergency, but for goodness sakes, my son was referred to Kloof Hospital!!! PLEASE CAN SOMEONE HELP ME WITH THIS ISSUE???
