I am disgusted at the way Lancet does business and handles their Accounts. I was never notified of any outstanding balance on my Account from last year February, no statements were emailed or posted and no one called me regarding this account yet u had my cell number on record. You have a nerve to hand me over to the Lawyers who have sent me a threatning SMS. How do you hand someone over when they are not even aware they owe you? I have sent an email to Lancet last week Wednesday to this effect and to date no one has come back to me. I have just received a statement from the lawyers with Legal fees i have to pay. I am not paying any legal fees for a balance i was never notified was outstanding. My medical Aid was going to pay this amount and asked Lancet to motivate for the charge which they did not do. I want this sorted out ASAP or i am good and ready to take this forward to the Medical council & Ombudsman. You need to stop treating clients like common criminals when you are the ones with an incompetent Accounts department. Your way of doing business is utterly disgusting. I will be sure to ask my Doc to do send my samples to Ampath the next time i have test to be done.
