I apparently owe Lancet some money for a claim which the medical aid did not cover, I don't know when or what this is for as I have never received an account from Lancet. We received 1 SMS stating that there was an outstanding amount but I don't pay on SMS's and waited for an account, which has never been forthcoming. We then received an SMS stating that we've been handed over. Besides being a common courtesy to send a client an invoice if you expect payment, it is also legislated according to the Consumer protection Act! Every time I come for bloods I fill in all of my contact details, so there's no excuse for not posting an account. When I asked the lawyers for details still no account but the total owing including legal fees!
