Struggling to get hospital bills settled for 8 wks

I gave birth at CT Mediclinic on 03/01/2013. Normal delivery was pre-authorised and approved with Bestmed, and all bills were submitted promptly for claims to be paid. Since then, I keep receiving bills for specialists that were not paid in full, as they charge more than medical aid rate. We have been paying a Total Care GAP Cover Policy since 2011 for such eventualities, to make sure that the shortfall between the medical aid rates and doctors' fees will be covered. Everything was submitted to Bestmed and Totalcare Gap Cover in Jan. It's now a month later, and the bills go back & forth between Gap Cover and Bestmed, up to the point that I am frustrated! Gap Cover says bills are "PMB" and Bestmed says that Gap Cover should pay shortfall.

Between these two companies, my bills are not yet settled 8 weeks after my baby was born, and I keep on receiving bills with "PAY NOW" from the doctors. With a newborn baby in the house - the last thing I have strength for is to chase the admin on hospital and doctors' accounts! That is why I pay thousands of hard-earned money per year for medical and Gap Cover. The service from Bestmed and Gap Cover has been VERY disappointing!
