My mother was admitted to Arwyp hospital in December for acute tonsillitis. They did not even remove the tonsils, they just treated it and Bestmed refuses to pay. I got a call today from Arwyp saying that they now have to change this account to private. I have been reading through the Annexure for Beat 2 and nowhere does it say that tonsillitis is no covered. If they wont cover tonsillitis, can you imagine what else they won't cover? Clearly I made a big mistake joining Bestmed and thinking that it is a good medical aid.
