Cancelling membership

After moving jobs at the end of December, I was required to change my medical aid to my personal capacity and the agent at my work sent through my banking details and change of plan by email. Logging in online in January, my plan had changed and all seemed well.

I noticed in the second week of February that no debit orders had been taken off my account for Discovery and upon phoning the call centre was told my membership request was not processed as they did not receive my change of bank details on the appropriate form. I was told to backpay for January and they would sort it out. After having made payment I today receive a reinstatement form for completion which states that I agree not to undergo medical treatment for the next 8 weeks i.e. until end of April, because my membership terminated. Despite speaking with a manager and arguing my case as they had my bank details and had never told me that a form had to be completed, I was told that if I did not complete the form and agree to undergo no treatment for 8 weeks, my reinstatement would not be approved. It is apparently my fault for not having known that I needed to fill in a form!!! 4 months paying & no treatment? Cancelled
