A person named Genie being extremely rude not even acknowledging our presence when a problem occurred. Highly unprofessional and no sense of humanity.
We were forced to pay for a broken item that was placed at the checkout.
The item was clearly broken when my daughter picked this up. We showed the staff and then they attacked us to pay for it.
We felt humiliated due to their actions.
Not attempting to listen or even look at the item that was already open.
My daughter tried to do the right thing to show somebody that the item was open and bring this to their attention.
My daughter is traumatized by this event.
We left having to pay for an item, after being made out as criminals.
However the item had no price or barcode. They then just grabbed something similar but not the same brand and forced us to pay.
My family chose Mopani as the brand has always been a place to feel safe when you are sick.
However Genie and the rest of the staff has showed us that we will need to rethink our loyalty. As my daughter feels highly upset and as I am writing hasn’t stopped crying.
