To say this was bad service would be a compliment!
Background: I have cancelled my account with them, because my wife and I moved to Cape Town and the new medical aid was in her name (Also Discovery btw).
I got a call from Divashni Naidoo on 25 Nov 2013 claiming that I owe Discovery Health money, because we didn't complete the full year and we used more than was allocated to us. I wasn't very happy about this and I asked for the details, under which I would understand, a full report with amount owed and banking details and instructions. The only thing I received was a Claims Transaction History which is very difficult to understand and with no instructions etc, which is insufficient information to proceed. I then expected another call or followup email, so that I could proceed with payment.
When I tried to open a new cellphone contract, I was declined because of the ITC check failing. After a lot of effort I found it was Discovery that marked me for defaulting on my account (10 Jan14 - 1.5 month!) I don't think it is fair to mark someone's account as defaulting without giving them sufficient time or info. In my eyes this is Deformation of character!
