I went for an eye operation on 28-11-2014, I received Hospital approval in August and made 4 calls to confirm that I would not have to pay in anything apart from the 20% as it was not a preferred hospital and an extra R500. When the account came Bankmed hadn't paid R8108, which they say is my responsibility. After fighting with them for the past month, a portion of the R8108 was paid (R3853.44) which is a step in the right direction, but this has still not been sorted out even though I have been guaranteed that it should have been paid in full (Ref#151791442). I have phoned the claims department about 15 times since august and have had many varying responses, most of which say that it should be paid in full.
So... I'm tired of phoning, so I thought I'd pop in here.
