Im a gems member with my mother registered as a beneficiary. Shes registered with gems PMB chronic department shes a chronic patient suffering from SLE. Being registered with their chronic dept renders her benefits not to be exhausted. She takes bloods almost on weekly basis or more times a week since shes on warfarin treatment which is a drug that makes her blood thinner. Times and again i always receive rejected accounts from laboratories reason being that funds are exhausted. I have raised it up with gems on many occassions but to no avail. They claim to have not received any accounts and when they are resent to them, they dont pay and as such i always pay from my own pocket to avoid ITC. If its not rejection of accounts, its less supply of chronic medication for the poor old frail lady and this then forcex to go buy medication again with cash.
This is unfair business practice by gems and believe it needs to be report.
Im a disgruntled and unhappy client whos loyally contributing money to gems coffers but get substandard services.
