If they do switch the aircon on they set it to 18, much too cold.
They keep all the remotes for the aircons at the nurses' station, so you can't adjust them.
If you do convince them to leave the remote with you, as soon as your back is turned they take it away.
My incision started bleeding, with the blood collecting inside the dressing. I showed them twice. It still took them nearly 1.5 hours before they did anything about it.By that time the dressing had given way, and all the blood had leaked into my shorts.
When they rolled the guy in the bed next to me on his side to give him an injection, he pulled a muscle in his back. He screamed with the pain. Their reaction - we don't have anything for back pain.
He buzzed them 3 times during the night complaining of pain, being hot and sweaty (aircon off, of course) and could they tilt his mattress flat. They did nothing. They didn't even adjust his bed, a very trivial task. He eventually got up and slept sitting in a chair to try and get some relief from his discomfort.
On Friday at 6 am they removed the water carafes and glasses for refreshing. When I was discharged at 10am there was still no water in the ward.
