We had decided to try Pine Lake Marina in Sedgefield for a vacation this year as their website makes it sound ideal for a break. We arrived on the 8th January 2014, checked in and arrived at our chalet, only to realise that there was no electricity or water. When I checked in nobody told me this. The electricity was restored later that day but not the water. The next morning there was no electricity and water. When we arrived we also found that the room was infested with ants which we dealt with it ourselves. Surely the cleaning staff could have dealt with this. For most of our stay there was a smell of raw sewerage hanging over the resort. We reported this and little was done to resolve this. On our second night the rain leaked onto our heads where we were sleeping in bed. I had to move the bed and put a bucket in place. Then also half of all the equipment is broken and not available for use. This includes the pedal boats, bikes, motor boats, canoes, Jacuzzis, etc. This was not communicated to us at any stage. I communicated all of this to the staff and completed a comment form but again no response and no apologies. I wouldn't recommend anybody to go to Pine Lake Marina.
