My son went for a dentistry procedure on the 18th of December 2013, prior to his procedure I called for authorisation was explained that the medical aid will pay 100% of the scheme rate to the doctor & 200% to the Anaesthetist, to my surprise they only paid 100% because the Anaesthetist bill came thru as GP I was charged R4155.82 by the Anaesthetist discovery only paid R1747.80 I am accountable for the balance yet this is the account that was suppose to be settled at 200% of the scheme rate, why give the incorrect information to your members? where must the money come from?
