Discovery authorised anaesthetist who charges 200%

Got hospital authorisation for an operation from discovery with the promise that we are fully covered. 2 Months down the line we get an bill from an anaesthetist who charged 200% of the discovery rate! I contacted discovery to query who authorised this doctor, because we were not informed of his rediculous rates and would most certainly have not approved it, especially since there being other anaesthetists available who indeed charge the discovery rate! I am still waiting on a response and it has been over 7 days already! Please remember that you did not obtain my consent to authorise this doctor's fees!!
