My daughter was suddenly diagnosed with Leukemia and needed to be admitted to Unitas hospital. With our world upside down, without prior medical aid authorisation I met Linda at the admissions desk. Calm, collected she began the paperwork, files, Netcare patient master information cards for the entire family, and completed the first of many admissions.
She didn't stop there, she intervened between me and the medical aid and obtained authorisations for future admissions and arranged with the pre-admissions department to have files waiting for us on admission days.
If this wasn't enough on the day of the first Chemo she had a gift for our daughter including a small "feel good froggie" soft toy and some much appreciated sweets.
She often visits in the ward, has assisted in getting newer electronic beds in the paed's oncology ward.
Simply put she has been a Godsend - a Netcare angel - going far above and beyond her duties and helping us smooth out a rough situation.
If Netcare has any "employee of the year" program I would want Linda's name at the top of the list and would be more than willing to submit this form of feedback on any platform necessary to achieve this.
