I went in for an IOD on 8 July 2013 and was treated by Dr Jordaan. The following week on 15 July (exactly a week later) I had to go back for a follow up as well as to have the stitches removed. Due to an infection I was given an antibiotic. At the time I requested my own GP to attend me but was told that because it was still part of the original case I had to see the same Dr. This SECOND visit for the IOD was charged to my personal file and I keep getting threatened regarding the outstanding amount. I have been into the Medicross and personally spoken to Thea (lady in charge of IOD's) as well as Jan (Janice - head of Reception) on separate occasions to try sort this out. I also spoke to Jan over the phone where she promised to speak to the Dr regarding the incorrect charge and call me back. I have yet to hear back from her but I am still getting sms' that I owe money and will be handed over. I was told the 2nd charge was for Upper Respiratory Infection yet they removed stitches? What do I have to do to get this problem FIXED?!? Is it wrong to wonder why it takes FIVE MONTHS to sort out a mistake??
