We changed Medical aid recently and with Discovery our employer didn't pay the medical aid but reimbursed us. With Liberty the employer pays the medical aid and it gets deducted from the salary. So I phoned the employer and Liberty to confirm that the medical aid will not be debited from my account. The employer followed up as well as the local Liberty office in Nelspruit. I actually still have a voice mail confirming that it WILL NOT be deducted from my account. So I didn't budget for it. And guess what when my sms'es came through the Medical aid was deducted from my account AND they have been paid by the employer. Now my account has gone into a minus and I had to move money around from account to have money in the right accounts. The moving of the money doesn't bother me, but now I have a bad record with my bank for the account going in to minus. Even if they reverse the payment they still gave my record a knock and just because they didn't do their jobs AFTER I have phoned and confirmed, because I was afraid this will happen. Pathetic.
