Quite honestly paying R580 for a room of this calibre is being overcharged by R579.50!
On our arrival we were given keys to our reserved room - filthy carpets, broken door handles and the stench of decaying food did nothing to boost our confidence. The room itself stank - obviously some half hearted attempt had been made to mask the smell with an abundance of air freshener
When I complained the reception staff were extremely helpful -although the ineptitude of giving me the spare key to a room which was already occupied did nothing to boost our estimation of this dodgy accommodation.i was then issued with yet another key - this room smelt like some dodgy seedy pub - the stench of old smoke was overwhelming Again the front staff were friendly and helpful and returned the extra I had paid towards the privilege of having this room.
My advice to any travelers - think twice before staying at wagon wheel lodge in Beaufort west.
