I would like to express my disgust with Lancet Laboratories' Accounts Call Centre.

A number of services were rendered by Lancet and whenever there is an amount that was not paid by my medical aid, the will send an SMS to my wife instead of me. This after I have updated my phone number with them numerous times.

If I phone them to enquire about the outstanding amount they request my email address --- to which they have sent accounts in the past!

All consultants I have spoken to has a bad attitude and fails to answer my questions regarding outstanding amounts and the payments I have made.

It would seem that Lancet believes I am doing them a favour to phone!!! I phone to get answers to my questions so that I can arrange payment. Instead they will quickly mention that the matter will be handed to the credit bureaux.

I do accept threats, bad treatment or arrogence --- when I actually want details to make eventual payment.

The way I feel now, after phoning 20 minutes ago, they can look for the money elsewhere! It makes no impact on my life.

I am of the opinion that Lancet has sub-standard staff (some government departments are more helpful!) and the systems are not up to scratch.
