I booked a picnic at Riviera on Vaal for our wedding anniversary last year November.
I was especially looking forward to returning to Riviera on Vaal as this is were I proposed to my wife.
When we arrived at Riviera they were a bit confused but said not to worry and said we should sit by the bar and wait. We waited about 45 minutes and then were told our picnic was ready. We went to our picnic spot and opened our picnic basket to find that none of the items that I had selected were in the basket. A few items had been put together and wrapped in glad wrap but were not appetizing at all. This was a real let down as we were really looking forward to this. It was clear that the staff had forgotten about us and just threw together a few items from the kitchen.
Carmen de beer the manager present on the day apologized and offered us some lunch and our money back.
We had lunch on that day but she could not give me my money back. Since then Carmen has repeatedly promised me my money back but failed to deliver every time. This has really tainted my view of this resort.
