On Sunday, 12 May, my family and I went to the Botanical gardens for the Mother's Day concert in the park. We ordered picnic baskets from Mokha (Mocha) Restaurant for this occasion.
The baskets were not ready on time. When we eventually got our baskets, 2.5 hours later, they we very disappointing! There was no consistency in the five baskets we ordered. Only two of the baskets had cutlery (4 knives, and 4 forks... for 10 people!) There were no serviettes or any condiments (salt and pepper.) The one basket had a half a chicken that was not cut into pieces at all! One basket (a special, no fried food, basket) was only enough for one person but it was priced and paid for as for two people.
We paid R400 (R300 minus the deposit) per basket but the quality and quantity of the basket was nowhere near that amount. And they did not contain the items that they advertised!
When I went to complain to the manager at the restaurant she just said "sorry" and shrugged her shoulders... she wasn't interested at all in our complaints.
This put a real dampener on our birthday/Mother's Day celebrations!!
Myself and my family certainly will not be going to or using Mokha (Mocha) any time soon!!
