On the 10th of October I had a Car Accident (some guys tried to rob / hi-jack a woman whose car was stuck on the N14 South in broad daylight). The guy behind me decided to ignore both my emergency lights and my break-lights and drove into me. The car was totalled and I ended up with a concussion (was unconscious for ever...). The Paramedics came and drove me to a hospital, where I was assessed/treated by a Doctor and X-Rays and an MRI was done to check if I had internal bleeding or damages to brain or spine. Throughout the process I was barely conscious.
Now Discovery has refused to pay for ANY of the costs except for the Emergency Transport to the hospital stating that my Medical Savings Fund was Depleted! Now if this is not emergency In Hospital treatment, then I do not know what is?? What is the point of having Medical Aid if they refuse to pay for emergency treatment. If this is not resolved, I will surely cancel my contract with Discovery!! Their service is pathetic. Upon sending them a mail questioning this, all I got was a mail back with a screenshot of the medical savings balance! Pathetic!
