I was discover health member. I need to change my spectacles and Sieff Optometrist we able to assist me to get new spectacles. The arrangement was that i would pay them over an 8 Months period for the spectacles. I was informed by the optometrist that they can only give my statement once i have finished paying for the spectacles. I could not submitted a claim with my medical aid (discovery - Iso leso) because i didn't have all the supporting documentation, this was in February 2013 after the receipt of my spectacles. I have now received the statement from the optometrist (Sieff Optometrist) November 2013. I now submitted a claim with my medical aid and their service provider (Iso leso). They are informing me that my claim is invalid or reject because i didn't submitted it within 4 months of changing my spectacle. How was i supposed to submit a claim when i didn't have the relevant supporting documents (statement and tax invoice from the optometrist).
