Call Centre Staff don't know what they are doing

My gym membership cancelled due to incompetency of Discovery/vitality Call Centre Staff - a month down the line I am still trying to gain access to Virgin Active.

I mistakenly cancelled the Debit Order, for the vitality benefit, at my bank. I was called by the Discovery staff and told that I had not paid my gym fees. I was given the amount I must pay to catch up and bank details and reference numbers to quote. Discovery would then re-submit the debit order request every month. I re-instated debit order at my bank. Never heard another word.

Much to my surprise my gym membership was cancelled in Oct. After many, many calls to the call centre, it turns out that I was given the wrong bank account details by the call centre person. They even put my husbands account into credit with the amt that should have gone off on my account. Every time I called them, I had to repeat my story from the beginning. Very often I would be told absolute rubbish. e.g. this is not the correct number to call etc. It took Denzil Lewis 13 Days to find out what happened to my payment.

It has been nearly a month and I still do not have access to the gym, and I am still waiting.
