I went to mt edgcombe to be admitted to hospital for nephrotic syndrome.however upon calling medical aid for authorisation I was denied admission due to no authorisation.the lady @ admissions called through to discovery were I asked to speak to a manager and a guy by the name of kumaren came on the line.according to him the case needed to be refferd to standards and if need be a PMA form will be issued to my gp and sent back to discovery for approval.from 3.44 up until now which is 20.20 I still have not heared from discovery or kumaren.a full working day my gp has not received any email. A lady from discovery said that she would have feedback by 3 today for me and has not made good on her promise. I was with discovery for 4 years and never had any issues. I moved over to another medical aid scheme due to work change. However due to poor service I went back to discovery thinking I'd be making a good move. I honeslty am sitting with deep regret after the appauling treatment I received and terrible customer service. Doctors don't request for people to be admitted for no reason. So if I'm not valued I should move to another provider.very disatisfied client.reference 3091292982
