I always assumed that the onus was on the supplier to contact the client if there was a change in the contract.
I am a BestMed member who has/had a contract with Sanlam Reality for gym benefits. Both companies failed to inform me that their agreement with regard to the gym was being terminated. In spite of numerous attempts of trying to find out what happened I am still struggling to sort it all out. Final straw was being debited for January 2013 - and being told by the help desk that I did qualify for the benefits! Only to be informed later in the month that I do not qualify and will not be refunded for my payment - a payment which gives me nothing!
If I had been notified in time I could have save quite a few Rands.
