I went to see Dr Viljoen for the first time regarding a stomach problem. On the day of first consultation, she prescribed medication and booked me off work for that day only. The following day my illness was even worse, and I decided to contact her to extend my sick note. Her reception never informed me that she wanted me to come in for another consultation, and would't just extend the sick note. Only after waiting another hour in her consultation rooms that afternoon, without even being able to see her, and phoning back again late in the afternoon to find out what was happening, did I find out that I must see her. I went to see her again the following day. At this point she became rude, argumentative, abusive and insulting. She shouted at me like a "fish-wife" regardless of any explanation that I had to offer, or any attempt to calm her down.
