I FINALLY convinced my friend to donate blood, as I am a regular donor and strongly believe in helping others! Blood donation is one way!
I took my friend (CB) to the Northgate donor center, and although she was scared, she proceeded. We filled out our forms easily, and I decided to wait for her to finish so we could donate at the same time. I got good service but CB however, must have caught her person "NN" (No Name) on a bad day! NN was SO RUDE!! CB was terrified of the needle, and NN got annoyed. NN jiggled the needle around because 'she couldn't find a vain', so CB moaned that it was hurting so bad. NN then pulled it out. CB said NN should try again, but NN said and I quote "you cant donate because you complain too much". So CB said, "try the other arm, sorry, it just hurts". NN said no and gave the same response. NN then proceeded to pack up, and did it in such a rude manner!! She then scribbled something on CB's form. NN should have ENCOURAGED CB and should have reassured her it would be ok, and then tried again!! She has now put CB off from ever donating again!!! We felt as though NN was just in a rush to leave or something, and I do believe she jiggled hard on purpose!!!
