Sad / Glad to see I am not the only one

Like so many others that have complained about Lancet, my Mom received an sms yesterday advising that her account has been handed over to a collections agency for R277.20. Lancet have made zero attempts to reach her on her home phone, cell phone, email or by post. No invoices or statements were ever received. None of her contact details have changed and she has lived at the same address for 32 years. Surely all these people who complain about the exact same problem with Lancet cannot all be wrong. The accounts department is clearly not doing what is expected of them. Improve your accounts department (for whom you are already paying salaries) and you won't have to pay a collections agencies to recover outstanding monies. The sad thing is that if you as the patient take the time to query the matter you risk the change of being blacklisted. We have therefore made payment while we are trying to get some information as to what the amount relates to. Please forward the actual invoice and confirm that the proof of payment has been received so that we can close this matter. I would be very reluctant to make use of Lancet again in the future.
