Good day, I recently purchased a groupon voucher to spend two nights with my husband and baby. It was for a mid week special and I purchased the voucher for my husband's birthday. I contacted the hotel and made a booking. But due to some circumstances my husband couldn't get away from work and as a result, I needed to reschedule. I emailed the reservations email well in advance of our booking on the 17th of November. I received no response. I then called the hotel and spoke with the reservations manager Nicola Fourie. She said straight away in a short tone that December was already booked up. I asked her for next available possibility and she said 19th january onwards..I explained that I have been emailing since last week and in a snappish tone she said that if she received emails she would have responded.. The thing is I did not get my failed delivery reports on my email.. So the emails have mysteriously disappeared. I am complaining because I work in client services and I understand that every effort should be made to keep the client happy.. Another important fact is that I got the impression that because I had a groupon voucher that I was just another customer.. Unimportant.
