6 months to NOT deliver my membership card

I joined the medical fund on the 1st April 2013, and while I have received, and continue to receive correspondence from the medical fund, like notices of AGMs and statements, Sizwe Medical Fund has failed to deliver my membership card. It is now the October, six months after I've joined the medical fund, it would have taken a competent fund less than a month to deliver my card.

I have just been turned away from a private clinic because they won't accept the membership certificate that I'm supposed to print out every time I got to a hospital. What if I was on a stretcher?

Every time I call them they tell me that my card was delivered to Mitchell's Plain, I do not understand how their systems could list my address to be in Mitchell's Plain, 0122 is quite unique as is every postal code, limited to a specific area. Somebody is not doing their job and it is unacceptable, I pay a lot of money to the fund to have them treat me like this. Medical care is a matter of life and death and I am appalled that it has taken them this long to deliver an essential tool to ensuring that I receive what is rightfully mine. ''We truly cater for the nation''? That is a lie. You failed to cater to me
