I received a final reminder on 17/10/2013 for an outstanding account with dr HJR Marais for an amount of R774.41. I never visited a dr with the name of dr Marais but I took the trouble and looked up his details and number, and found him to b a gynaecologist in Pretoria. I also took the trouble and phoned the dr's Office. His receptionist confirmed that I was indeed never a patient at of the practice. I however, got the details of the company that handles their accounts by the name of Bitoni's and the contact person. I phoned them, and spoke to Elizbe and tried to explain the situation and my unhappiness. Needless to say her attitude was not good. I told her that I received a final reminder for an outstanding account that is not even my account, and I presume the next thing will be that they Blacklist me. She in an unfriendly manner told me that it is not her problem that they have the wrong number, and therefore received the threatening SMS. For somebody providing a support service to professional people like doctors, I think this is very unprofessional conduct.
