As a treat, my boss sent myself and my colleague to the Saxon Spa. We were so excited as our perceptions were that The Saxon was the best! The whole experience there was great - no complaints, but when I woke up the next day with a rash all over, I was not impressed.
I went to the chemist and got a cream for an allergic reaction (which I thought it was). I email the Saxon where they said "Do you remember going into the floatation pool? As it has high concentration of salt in it and if you did not shower off the excess salt, might cause a reaction."
After 2 days, the rash was getting worse and the cream was not making any improvements and decided to make a trip to the doctor. After a R450 doctors bill, an antibiotic and a special antibiotic cream, I was diagnosed with scabis / lice / parasites from the linen, bed or towels. It was really unpleasant and sore and I had to wear clothes to cover it up.
I emailed the Saxon and it has nearly been 2 weeks with no response. It has put me off The Saxon (and any spa) as I am now left with some marks on my skin from the rash and a big doctors bill.
I would have just liked an apology from The Saxon.
