Chatsmed's renovation NOT my problem

On behalf of Mr. J Veerasamy [On 19 June 2013 my son, Mr. R Veerasamy was admitted to Life Healthcare Chatsmed Gardens Hospital. He was initially authorised a 3 day stay by our medical aid (Bonitas) however had stayed 5 days as instructed by his alternate medical practitioner.

Firstly, I am fully aware of the accounts declaration signed upon admittance; however my son was assured by the doctor (Dr. V Reddy) that the additional days will be sorted with the medical aid by means of a motivation letter submission.

Since my sons release from hospital, nothing has come of the motivation letter and further the hospital has passed the matter on to ITC. A lady from the accounts department (Roopa - but I could be mistaken) has an extremely bad attitude with a don't give a mind-set when I (and/or my son) on countless occasions tried to explain that the matter is being attended to.

It is no fault of ours that Chatsmed Gardens Hospital is/was undergoing extensive renovations and that Dr. V Reddy has/had temporarily moved to her Umhlanga practise and there is errors with their fax/email systems.

My family has been patrons of the hospital for many years and refuse to accept such.
