I am a new client to Discovery, I had No waiting period except for on a procedure that i had done more than 11 years ago (this fathoms me too) So i had a disclosed waiting period for " Polycystic Ovaries" exact wording... I went to the gynae for excruciating pain that is becoming more and more severe, It seems i have endometriosis (total difference to Polycystic ovary) and have been booked in for a day procedure on Monday to assess. There was an ultrasound done and absolutely NO CYSTS were found on my ovaries, However i have been put on a waiting period and my medical history has to now be assessed by standards and this will take over 8 hours, which i can only phone back on Monday to find out if there is a go ahead. DON`T worry Discovery, I will sit with the excruciating pain for even longer now.. I find this unacceptable and that they could not put pressure on getting this resolved for me today, and the general attitude is - there is nothing you can do but wait! None of this waiting period for other procedures was disclosed on my medical certificate and i want answers. Will you pay for the pain medication i am currently taking to at least be able to get by!
