On 2013-10-13 @ 12:00 i took my 2 month old baby to the Lancet lab in Lorne Street Durban for a blood test . after filling in the paperwork a black male with no name tag came to my wife and asked for the baby. he then took the baby to the procedure room. we immediately felt uneasy .a minute later my wife decided to go to the procedure room. when she got there she heard the said male and an indian nurse argue about expired blood vials which they were continuously throwing away and searching for non expired vials. on seeing my wife they asked her to leave the room. out of concern my wife stood in the passage to ensure the correct vials were used. my wife was again told to leave. she was terrified as she didnt know if the baby was in safe hands. when the front desk staff was asked if parents were allowed to accompany their babies we were told yes. after hearing my baby screaming i proceeded to the said room and watched helplessly as they continuously poked my baby in an unprofessional manner. i asked them to stop and removed my baby and left. i feel that the manner in which my wife and child was treated was extremely unprofessional and pathetic from such a well known company.
