Dirty flat, broken appliances, Don't Care attitude

San Marino Flats, Unit 1, 60 Ocean View Drive, Ballito

You don't get what you paid for, and the owner won't refund you when you check out
early due to unhygienic conditions.

When we first arrived at the unit it smelled of Cat pee and we found a stray cat locked up
in the unit. The unit was advertised as serviced and no cleaner pitched up until the
27th when we decided to leave.

On booking in we found that the flat was merely tidied and not cleaned. There was still
cooking smears around the stove from previous guests. The linen was not washed,
we slept on top of the covers and were covered in insect bites (not mozzies, maybe fleas?)
the following morning.

Ice machine was out of order, Tumble dryer was out of order, Fridge did not keep
things cold (was replaced with another one that was extremely filthy), when trying to cook
porridge we found that the pot was cracked right through.

Our booking was for 4 nights and with these conditions we decided to move on one day
early to our next destination.
The booking agent has refunded our breakage deposit, but the owner refuses to
reimburse the rental amount of R2, 000 for the final night that we didn't stay.
