I am appalled at the way discovery have a disregard for their elderly members. My father has been paying his medical aid for the 16 years, and you would not authorise a rehabilitation centre so that he can learn to walk on his own again!! You would also not authorise a transfer from the hospital to the rehabilitation centre, so I had to put him in the car in the heat and take him myself. In the end, he started having cardiac issues, I had to stop on the side of the road and call and ambulance, who then took him back to the hospital. Mmm, all could have been avoided if he was transported by ambulance that would have monitored all his vital signs. Disgusted that Claudell Naraimsamy refused the rehabilitation centre because Discovery feel that Parkinson's is a degenerative disease, so why rehabilitate!!! Shocked at this response. Totally disgusted, and I too am a member! Not for long though. No wonder you have such terrible publicity, I have now found out first hand. This could have been avoided
