NO WARNING - deactivation of membership

The main member was contacted on the 19th January 2013 and told that the dependents on his name (my children) are to be removed from his Medical Scheme.

I then contacted them on the main members behalf and requested that they send me a letter stating why the dependents were removed. As I know that there has been payments received to the Medical Aid for ALL members on a monthly basis.

The response I received today (24 January 2013) is below:
It should be noted that Mr... was contacted by the Membership Department who indicated that the children no longer qualifies as dependants and will need to be registered on their own membership.

Firstly there was no warning of them removing the children off the medical scheme as that same day that we received the phone call - the kids were not able to get ANY medication.

NOW, will someone please tell me - how can a medical scheme give no warning of removing dependents.
As if a warning was given, I as the parent would have made other arrangements.

Honestly - Global Health, I never had problems with but since it has changed to Keyhealth, there are many complaints that I could write up.
