Recently, I received a letter from Discovery Health informing me that I apparently owe R 841.70 to the Scheme is due to downgrading your health plan from the Classic Comprehensive to the Coastal Core in August 2007. I repeat, 2007. That is SEVEN YEARS later.
Not to mention that I have spoken to Discovery Health on numerous occasions, and had a hospital visit in 2010 where much of the surgeon's bills were not covered as Discovery Health declared I owed them MSA funds then from changing from a medical aid to hospital plan. At the time, in 2010, and over frequent telephone conversations with the call centre and accounts and my insistence that I sort out any fund owing then, in 2010, I was assured that I did not owe any more money to Discovery.
Now, SEVEN years later, I get notified I owe them R 841.70.
This has got to be the complete, utter and total epitome of disorganisation, horrendously bad admin and organisation, and shocking service. It seriously cannot get worse than this. What organisation that revolves around good administration takes SEVEN years to reconcile the change of a medical aid scheme. This is beyond shocking!
