We enjoyed our stay at the Protea Hotel Nelspruit very much.
Initially we booked for the "Innibos" festival but we couldn't make it due to a family emergency. We then moved our booking (which we already paid for) a few weeks on. We received great service while we stayed there and while checking in we were informed that we had a credit that would be refunded.
Upon checking out we were told that our refund would be paid into our bank account within the week.
Three weeks, several phone calls and a few emails later - and we're still waiting for that refund.
Yesterday I was informed that the financial manager is on holiday and we can't receive our refund until next week Monday. Which will then make it almost a month since our stay.
The woman I spoke to yesterday, Charlene, was very friendly and did apologise to me, but I feel that if the person who was supposed to handle this did so when they were supposed to, this would not be happening. I don't feel like it's my responsibility to be phoning them and emailing them to get something as small and easy as this refund done.
I guess now all I can do is wait. I am disappointed that our lovely stay now turned sour.
